Partnership with Uber Freight

by Kevin Brooks, on 10/10/22 1:48 PM

Procurant+UberFreight-SquareProcurant recently announced our partnership with Uber Freight. What does this mean for suppliers using the platform? Quite simply, it means there will soon be the ability to schedule and book delivered loads directly within Procurant.

We're in the early stages of rolling out the new capability, called "Procurant Ship." It will start as an option for shipments to a subset of Albertsons distribution centers, and will expand to all retailers and all DCs in time.

For now, there is nothing that suppliers need to do except perhaps alert your transportation people and offer them logins to the system (it doesn't cost anything to set them up). This is an optional service on the platform, and all produce suppliers with active Procurant accounts will be able to use Procurant Ship on a per-purchase order basis, or to ignore quoted rates when presented in the PO screen.

For more detailed information about Procurant Ship, check out our updated FAQ. Another great option for those attending the upcoming IFPA Fresh Produce & Floral Show would be to stop by the Procurant booth (#1057) or sign up for the info session we are holding on site in Orlando.

What's the Hubbub?

Welcome to the Procurant Supplier Hubbub, a blog and discussion forum for suppliers using the Procurant One platform. A "Hubbub" is an old term for a busy, noisy situation, which seemed appropriate for these times.

Over time we will post news, tips and product-specific information on this site. Our intent is to build a community where you can also learn, contribute, share your questions and perspectives, and generally add to the overall "hubbub" around this space.

Thanks, and let the Hubbub begin!
