Albertsons Update

Albertsons recently announced an update to their internal systems that will standardize buying across all categories, including produce and floral. We want to assure all suppliers on the network currently selling to Albertsons that you can continue using Procurant to trade with Albertsons without interruption, both during the transition period and beyond.

What's Changing?

The headline is that Albertsons is gradually rolling out a new supplier portal over the next 12-18 months. This new portal is in addition to services such as EDI or Procurant. The change is largely related to standardizing internal systems at Albertsons across all buying categories.

Does this mean we no longer use Procurant?

Not at all. You can continue to manage orders and transactions with Albertsons through Procurant, whether you choose to work directly in the new portal or rely on our platform to streamline your operations. Procurant already provides a direct EDI connection to Albertsons today, and this capability will remain in place as Albertsons introduces their new supply chain platform later in the year.

Options Going Forward

• Use Procurant
  You do not need to make any changes to your existing Procurant contract. Procurant remains fully supported and connected to Albertsons.
  
  
• Use the Albertsons Portal
  When the new Albertsons Supply Portal becomes available later in 2026 you will also have the option to use it directly. Procurant will continue to work alongside the portal as an alternative for suppliers who prefer to stay with their current setup.
  
  
• Use EDI
  Procurant’s “Open Link” EDI service and direct integration options connect you not only to Albertsons, but also to many other leading retailers and foodservice operators. This provides a single, reliable point of connectivity across your retail customer base.
